EYE RHYMES

Our brain, our thoughts, we call our mind

Generous, thoughtful? She is kind.

To tie or lash is also bind;

Cheese and bacon have a rind

What has been lost we later find;

A female deer is a hind;

Turning clockwork is to wind.

Let’s stop a minute, though, right there –

That word’s in fact one of a pair;

That these exact four letters share.

The other, rhymed with “tinned” (think pear),

Is wind, the puff of moving air.
